The clouds ahead foretold of a wet ride for the day
As we were pulling in for gas and lunch at the Owyhee Gas N Go, the skies really opened up and the rains came and it poured like it was never going to stop. I put together a make-shift rain fly for my tail bag thanks to Hefty Super Stretch. 
As it turned out, the front blew through in less than an hour, and we didn't get rained on at all after leaving Owyhee. Oh well, now I have a rain fly for my bag :-)
